I worked as a lighter on the game! Not only that, for this marketing shot, I lit the character and the creatures.

I relit this shot in Katana in two weeks. The hardest part about this was getting the window lights to fall at the right angle. So I had to learn how to use cookies to shape the lights where they needed to go. It was my biggest and most fun challenge I've ever had.

I lit this shot using a movie still from Almost Famous. Prior to this project, I was on the bench on whether I should focus on shading or lighting. During this project, I fell in love with the process.

I lit and composited this shot as well as modeled several props in this scene.

I lit and composited this shot as well as modeled the sign. This was a rather challenging scene to light due to the forced perspective requiring every object to be spread extremely far apart.

I shot lit this in Katana and worked on some of the shaders.

I shot lit this in Katana and worked on some of the shaders. I had fun with the sequence since it was my first time lighting a moving shot and animating lights.

I took a shot from the senior film, 'Grendel' and lit it to give it a dusky morning.

Worked on all aspects. Modeled in Maya and ZBrush, textured in Houdini and Mari, and lit in Houdini. I finished this during my sophomore year at BYU. This was my first time really tackling shading and lighting. It was super challenging and I ran into so many problems but that's what made it so fun.

Worked on all aspects in Maya. I finished this as a portfolio piece to apply to the BYU animation major during my freshman year. This the second time I had ever attempted anything in 3D.

Worked on all aspects. The Kendama Toy and ball were modeled in Maya, shaded in Mari, and composited onto a flat background in Nuke.
